~Thank you 15-Minute Miracle~
http://www.15minutemiracle.com/home.html
Ask and you shall receive. Think happy and look past yucky. Write out what you want. BE THANKFUL. Stick with it. TRUST. Take care of yourself. Let yourself dream. As the Four Agreements say, "be impeccable with your words".
A few years back, I did the daily journaling for 60 days in my 15-minute miracle workbook. I then journaled weekly, then during crazy times where re-focusing was an order, and then monthly.
So three years later: more than 50 pounds lost, dancing with easy and enthusiasm 3+ hours/week at Zumba, received a work promotion, presented and published in my field of work, and so much more.
Combine the 15-minute miracle with Abraham-Hicks goodies, and voila!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

collective projects and the wonderful wiki energy
To my conscious friends and family...
Oh, the wonderful world of Wiki energy and open domain...
Here is a link to a lovely illustrated version of Clement C. Moore's A Visit From Saint Nicholas thanks to The Project Gutenberg http://www.gutenberg.org/files/17135/17135-h/17135-h.htm
Here is a link to librivox, a volunteer based library of recordings of thousands of public domain books. I've loved the Mark Twain writings, Wind in the Willows, and many more. This link will provide many different accents and styles reading Clement's book. Nice for the kids (and kids in us). http://librivox.org/a-visit-from-saint-nicholas-by-clement-clarke-moore/
And in among all of this should go a shout out to Wikipedia and its almost 100 employees, only a decade old, in dozens of languages, and so much more. Sure, it scares some that we are learning from a collective project which is what wiki meant in the beginning, but to me, it gives me hope. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia and http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Fundraising
Or how about David's vision? http://www.worldreader.org/ providing reading to unrealized dreams in far away villages.
Oh happy day, Makani http://openedmymind.blogspot.com/p/booklist.html (a feeble and underdeveloped list of books that I am glad I have read and intend to read again)

Purpose of this blog- to share great books
WHY DID I MAKE THIS ONLINE LIST?
I like reading (or listening to) books and speeches that open my mind. It all started with Malcolm Gladwell back in 2008 (or so). Since then, I've used the wonderful Santa Cruz library system and Amazon to keep me going. The books I tend to choose are ones that make me realize I am a sentient being and that I am part of a whole. Dan Ariely calls it Behavioral Economics. I look at the shelves at bookstores under psychology, business, self-improvement, and politics. I also like sharing ideas... my goal is to write about how each book opened my mind. (We will see when I take the handwritten notes I have and put them on this blog- give me a year, I guess.)
